Twelve Cowgirls Named To Academic All-Big 12 Team

STILLWATER – With 4.0 grade point averages, Oklahoma State softball student-athletes Chelsea Alexander, Hayley Busby and Jules Callaham led 12 Cowgirls who were named to the Academic All-Big 12 first team, it was announced today.
Katelynn Carwile, Chyenne Factor, Avery Hobson, Kelly Maxwell, Kiley Naomi, Sydney Pennington, Karli Petty, Michaela Richbourg and Taylor Tuck were also honored.
OSU's 12 first-team selections tied for the third most by a softball team in Big 12 history.
Over the past seven seasons, OSU leads the Big 12 in overall selections (80), first-team selections (72) and individuals recognized with a 4.0 GPA (13). Since the Big 12 was formed in 1996, Oklahoma State has the most overall Academic All-Big 12 selections in softball with 201.
First team members consist of those who have maintained a 3.20 or better GPA.
The three individuals - Alexander, Busby and Callaham - recognized with a 4.0 GPA tie for the second-most in league history, with seven Cowgirls being recognized with a 4.0 GPA the past two seasons.
Alexander, Pennington and Richbourg are now four-time first-team Academic All-Big 12 honorees, with Factor and Tuck three-time selections.
