Maxwell Named Top 25 Finalist For Player Of The Year By USA Softball

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State's Kelly Maxwell was named a top 25 finalist for Player of the Year by USA Softball, it was announced today.
The four-time Big 12 Pitcher of the Week honoree has 198 strikeouts in 107.2 innings pitched. Maxwell sports a 14-1 record with a 1.04 earned run average and is limiting opponents to a .133 batting average.
She tossed the fourth no-hitter of her career against Texas Tech on February 25, striking out 16 Red Raiders in that contest.
Maxwell tallied double digit strikeouts in 10 games, including 18 against Kansas, the most for a Cowgirl in a seven-inning game.
