Maxwell Awarded Big 12 Co-Pitcher Of The Week Honors

STILLWATER – For the fourth time this season, Kelly Maxwell was named Big 12 Pitcher of the Week, it was announced today.
The award marks the most of any Big 12 pitcher this season.
Maxwell tossed an Oklahoma State program-record 18 strikeouts in her lone appearance of the weekend on Friday, the most ever by a Cowgirl in a seven-inning game. Her strikeout total also marked a career high and bolstered her as the Big 12's strikeout leader through nine weeks. She allowed only two hits and kept her ERA at 0.00 for the week.
On the year, Maxwell is 14-1 with a 1.04 earned run average. She has 198 strikeouts in 107.2 innings pitched and is holding opponents to a .133 batting average.
