Cowgirl Tennis Well Represented In ITA Rankings

STILLWATER– Oklahoma State's women's tennis team held strong at No. 7 in the latest ITA Top 25 rankings, with five Cowgirls appearing in the individual rankings, it was announced today by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
The national individual rankings feature the top 125 singles players and the top 60 doubles teams in the country.
Freshman Mhai Sawangkaew earned the highest singles ranking of any Cowgirl as she landed at No. 34, while Cowgirl veteran Lisa Marie Rioux jumped 10 spots to No. 40. Newcomer Oona Orpana remained at the No. 82 spot in the rankings.
Both undefeated Cowgirl doubles duos rose in the top 60. Ayumi Miyamoto and Lisa Marie Rioux jumped to No. 22 and Mhai Sawangkaew and Martina Zerulo climbed to No. 38.
Mhai Sawangkaew and Ayumi Miyamoto checked in at No. 63. The Cowgirls begin a conference homestand with Kansas State Friday at 5:00 p.m.
