Six Cowgirls Named To NCEA All-America Team

WACO, Texas - Six Oklahoma State Equestrian riders have been named to the 2021-22 National Collegiate Equestrian Association Ariat All-America teams.
OSU now tallies 66 All-American honors in program history, with 35 different Cowgirls earning that recognition.
The top-five riders per event were selected and named to the Ariat All-America First-Team by the NCEA Selection Committee. The next five riders per event earned second team honors. Honorable mention honorees were selected via the established criteria.
Cowgirl senior Sydnie Ziegler added to her storied career as she earned a spot on the Fences All-America First Team.
OSU's Hope King, the Big 12 Flat Rider of the Year, was also named to the first-team All-America list.
In Horsemanship, Jojo Roberson was an All-America Second Team selection after being an honorable mention performer last season.
Molly Mitchell continued the Cowgirls' success after being selected as a Reining second-team All-American.
Fifth year Abigail Brayman continued to add to her extensive resume as she became a four-time All-American after being named a Flat All-America Honorable Mention. Brayman is now a a three-time Flat honorable mention performer and Flat second team honoree.
Fellow captain, Katie Pelzel, joined Brayman as a Flat All-American Honorable Mention. This is Pelzel's second consecutive year as an honorable mention awardee.
To earn honorable mention status, riders had to meet the following criteria:

- Must have a 67 percent or higher winning percentage, excluding ties
- Compete in a minimum of 67% of a team's NCEA qualifying regular season meets
- Have at least an adjusted NRS score of:
- 85 for flat
- 90 for fences
- 80 for horsemanship
- 75 for reining
