Cowgirl Tennis Checks In At No. 11

STILLWATER– Oklahoma State's women's tennis team remained at No. 11 in the latest ITA Top 25 rankings it was announced today by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
This marks the 10th consecutive week the Cowgirls have appeared in the top 25 poll.
The Cowgirls are fresh off last Sunday's dominating performance when OSU took down then-No. 22 Baylor, 5-2. OSU dropped a hard-fought match to No. 6 Texas last Friday, 4-1.
In addition to the team rankings, five Cowgirls were ranked in the ITA Tennis Division I women's tennis rankings.
The national rankings feature the top 125 singles players and the top 60 doubles teams in the country.
Freshman Mhai Sawangkaew earned the highest singles ranking of any Cowgirl as she landed at No. 30, while Cowgirl veteran Lisa Marie Rioux checked in at No. 42. Newcomer Oona Orpana checked in at the No. 104 spot in the rankings.
Two Cowgirl duos earned a spot in the top 60, including the undefeated tandem of Ayumi Miyamoto and Lisa Marie Rioux, who checked in at No. 14. Mhai Sawangkaew and Martina Zerulo are the 49th-ranked duo in the nation.
The Cowgirls are set for a pair of conference road tests this weekend starting with No. 27 Texas Tech on Friday at 5 p.m. in Lubbock and TCU Sunday at 1 p.m. in Fort Worth.
