Cowgirl Softball Improves To No. 6/8 in National Polls

STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State softball team improved to No. 6 in the USA Today/NFCA DI Top 25 Coaches Poll and No. 8 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Top 25, it was announced today.
Winners in 13 of their last 14 games, the Cowgirls are 24-6 on the season.
OSU swept a three-game series with Texas Tech last weekend, outscoring the Red Raiders, 32-3, in those three contests, two of which were cut short after five innings due to the run rule.
Cowgirl left hander Kelly Maxwell threw a no-hitter in game one and OSU hit 12 home runs in the series, six of which came in Sunday's finale.
After week seven, here's a look at where the Cowgirls rank in other national top 25 rankings:
No. 9 in Softball America's Top 25
No. 10 in D1 Softball's Top 25
The Cowgirls play a midweek game against Tulsa on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Cowgirl Stadium before going on the road to take on Baylor in Waco, Texas on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
