Cowgirl Softball Moves to No. 11/12 in National Polls

STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State softball team is No. 11 in the USA Today/NFCA Coaches poll and No. 12 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball poll, it was announced today.
The Cowgirls are coming off a weekend in which they claimed wins over a pair of ranked opponents in No. 19 Michigan and No. 23 Northwestern at the St. Pete Clearwater Elite Invitational.
Kelly Maxwell pitched a one-hit shutout to lead OSU over the Wolverines to open play at the tournament. The Cowgirls then had setbacks against No. 21 LSU, USF and No. 6 Washington before bouncing back to erase a three-run deficit and claim victory over Northwestern.

OSU is 6-4 heading into this week's Reveille Classic in College Station, Texas, where they have a five game slate including Texas Southern, Tennessee State and Texas A&M. Friday, they play a doubleheader versus Texas Southern and Tennessee State. Saturday, they play their second game against Texas Southern, as well as Texas A&M. They conclude the weekend against Texas A&M again on Sunday.
