Cowgirl Softball No. 7 In National Polls

STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State softball team is No. 7 in both the USA Today/NFCA DI Top 25 Coaches Poll and the ESPN.com/USA Softball Top 25, it was announced today.
Highlighted by a win over No. 21/21 Arizona State, the Cowgirls won four of five at the season-opening Kajikawa Classic in Tempe, Ariz., last weekend. OSU's lone defeat came at the hands of No. 20 Duke, the reigning champions of the Atlantic Coast Conference.

The Cowgirls play five games in three days this week at the St. Pete Clearwater Elite Invitational. Four of their next five opponents are ranked. Friday, OSU plays No. 19/16 Michigan and No. 21/22 LSU. Saturday has South Florida and No. 6/5 Washington. The Cowgirls close with RV/23 Northwestern on Sunday. All of OSU's games at the St. Pete Clearwater Elite Invitational will be televised on the ESPN family of networks.
