Cowboys Take Down Sam Houston In GIA

STILLWATER, Okla. ---- Oklahoma State defeated Sam Houston 65-51 on Tuesday to improve to 6-3 on the season.
Bryce Thompson led the Cowboys offensively, scoring 17 points behind four three-pointers, while also dishing out three assists and grabbing two steals.
Moussa Cisse continues to block shots at an incredible rate, blocking four more to add on to his Big 12 leading total of 30. Cisse also recorded 13 rebounds in the contest, reaching double-digits for the seventh time this season.
Sam Houston came into the game ranked No. 7 in the NCAA's initial NET Rankings, averaging 82.5 points per game, but were held to a season-low 51 points on just 35 percent shooting from the floor.
The Cowboys used their size and length down low to dominate the glass, outrebounding the Bearkats 37-22.
Tyreek Smith continues to play well off the bench for Mike Boynton's squad, scoring 10 points on 4-of-5 field goals in the contest. Over the past five games, Smith has recorded 46 points and 26 rebounds on 87 percent shooting.
The Cowboys will head to Brooklyn, N.Y., to face off with the Virginia Tech Hokies on Sunday at 1 p.m. CT on ESPN2.
