Postgame Notes
- Garret Rangel hit Stephon Johnson Jr. for an 84-yard touchdown reception, which was Oklahoma State's longest play of the season and the longest pass play in OSU bowl game history. The play also made for the second fastest scoring drive of the season, while being the fifth-longest in terms of yards.
- Rangel's second passing touchdown of the night came to another true freshman in Ollie Gordon on 4th down at the 1-yard line to cut the deficit to 10 early in the fourth quarter.
- Nathan Latu recorded his fourth sack of the season in the third quarter, giving him the second most on the team, only behind Collin Oliver.
- Lyrik Rawls' first career sack also resulted in a fumble that was recovered by Kody Walterscheid in Wisconsin territory with 4:28 left to go in the third quarter.
- Jason Taylor II set a career high with 12 tackles in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl. He also had a season-high 1.5 tackles for loss against the Badgers.
- Cam Smith and Lamont Bishop set career highs in tackles against Wisconsin. Smith finished with five, while Bishop totaled nine stops and two tackles for loss.
- Trey Rucker made an immediate impact for the Cowboy defense in his season debut as he recorded a pass breakup and an interception in the first quarter.
- Tanner Brown improved to 22-for-23 on field goal attempts this season after converting a 24-yard attempt to cut the deficit to seven in the fourth quarter. He also extended his streak of consecutive PATs made to 78, which moved him into a tie for the fourth-longest streak in program history with Ben Grogan.
- After being held without a third-down conversion through the first three quarters, OSU's offense converted on three consecutive third downs on a fourth-quarter drive to set up Brown's field goal to make it a one-score game with 5:08 to go.
- Rashod Owens' 41-yard reception in the fourth quarter nearly matched his season total of 44 yards entering the game. It also marked the longest reception of his career.
- Brennan Presley has recorded at least one reception in 27 of the past 28 games, dating to Dec. 29, 2020.
- John Paul Richardson has recorded two or more receptions in 15 straight games, dating to Dec. 4, 2021.
