Bryce Thompson picked up where he left off the last game, opening the scoring with his 17th three-pointer of the season to give the Cowboys a 3-0 lead.

Another three from John-Michael Wright put the Pokes up 6-0 going into the first media timeout. Texas A&M CC missed its first eight shots of the game.

A 12-4 run allowed the Cowboys to extend their lead to 22-8 with just less than eight minutes to play in the first half. OSU started the game on fire from the outside, making four early three-pointers, while the Islanders missed their first eight from beyond the arc.

The Cowboys continued to roll on both ends of the floor, extending the lead to 35-14 with just less than two minutes remaining in the half. Bryce Thompson, Quion Williams and Chris Harris Jr. all had six points, and were a combined 6-10 from beyond the arc.

Bryce Thompson knocked down two more three's at the end of the first half to give the Cowboys a 44-20 halftime lead, their largest of the season.

A quick 5-0 spurt from the Islanders brought the game within 19, but the Cowboys immediately responded with a 7-1 run of their own to get the lead back to 25.

Three and a half scoreless minutes from the Islanders allowed the Cowboys to extend the lead to 58-31 with 11:14 remaining.

Head coach Mike Boynton has stayed with the same starting-five in all 12 games this season, going with Avery Anderson III, Bryce Thompson, John-Michael Wright, Kalib Boone and Moussa Cisse. The 12 games is the longest the Cowboys have gone with the same starting-five since the 2018-19 season.

The Cowboys defense came to play on Tuesday, allowing just 20 first-half points, the third lowest total by an opponent in any half this season.Â

Anderson III spent most of the night initiating the offense, setting a new career-high with nine assists on Tuesday, two more than his previous high of seven.

Avery Anderson III's ability to attack the rim has given him consistent trips to the free-throw line, and Anderson has taken advantage. After Tuesday's 2-for-2 performance, Anderson is averaging nearly five attempts per game and is leading the Big 12 is free-throw percentage at 90.4 percent.

Bryce Thompson continues to shoot the three-ball well for the Cowboys, making 13 threes in the Cowboys' last four games.

Moussa Cisse continues to use his size to grab boards and block shots at a furious rate. The Big 12's leading rebounder and shot-blocker recorded 14 rebounds and one blocks on Saturday.

Cisse also recorded 12 points to give him his fifth double-double of the season, ranking him second in the Big 12, one behind KU's Jalen Wilson.

Cisse now has 35 blocks on the season, seven more than the second and third ranked players in the Big 12 combined.

Avery Anderson III recorded two steals against the Islanders on Tuesday. Anderson has upped his defensive prowess this season, averaging a career-high 2.2 steals per game, which ranks third in the Big 12.
