• Oklahoma State's women's basketball team will officially begin the Jacie Hoyt Era on Monday evening when UTRGV comes calling for a 5 p.m. contest inside Gallagher-Iba Arena.
• Hoyt was named the eighth head coach in the history of the program on March 20, 2022.
• Claire Chastain enters the contest 122 points shy of 1,000 for her career, while Lexy Keys is 13 away from 500.
• The contest marks the 14th consecutive year OSU has started its season at home. The Cowgirls last tipped off a campaign away from Gallagher-Iba Arena on Nov. 14, 2008 at Duke.
• The 77-68 loss against the eighth-ranked Blue Devils was also the last time OSU lost its season opener.
• Tuesday's tilt could potentially mark the first action in a Cowgirl uniform for eight players.

• The Cowgirls are 37-12 all time in season openers after seeing their 15-game winning streak in home openers halted last year.
• OSU suffered a 55-45 loss to Colorado on Nov. 10 last year in Stillwater to start the season.

• UTRGV was picked to finish ninth in the Western Athletic Conference by the league's coaches and was picked 11th by the media.
• Sophomore guard Iyana Dorsey was named to the preseason All-WAC Coaches Second Team.
• UTRGV finished with a 14-19 mark a year ago, including an 8-10 mark in league play.

OSU—UTRGV ... The Series
• OSU has won all 11 previous meetings between the two programs.
• Ten of the 11 matchups have come in Stillwater.
• The Cowgirls claimed an 80-38 win in the last meeting on Nov. 17, 2017 in Stillwater.
