November 29, 2022 | Cowgirl Equestrian
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State Equestrian signed 11 riders out of the class of 2023 earlier this month.
Head Coach Larry Sanchez and the Cowgirl staff are excited about the immediate impact this group can make upon their arrival in Stillwater.
"We have a very strong class of signees for our freshman class of 2023," Sanchez said. "The entire class has a lot of potential to immediately help once they arrive next fall. I am very excited about our future."
In Horsemanship, OSU added three to its already-strong group. Two of the recruits come from Ohio, with the Cowgirls adding Jalyn McElmurray from Galena and Bella D,Onofrio from Columbus. The third is an in-state signee: Alana Tietz out of Shawnee.
Oklahoma State also added two Reiners to its Western riders: Emma Filitreau out of Bardstown, Kentucky, and Ava Bush from Meed, Washington.
On the Jumping Seat side, OSU signed six from across the country. From the northeast, the Cowgirls add Kaitlyn Roman from Wantage, New Jersey, and Avery Schauder out of Greenwich, Connecticut. Moving down the east coast, Lourdes Low joins Oklahoma State from Bluffton, South Carolina. On the west coast, the Cowgirls add Isabella Holway from Cardiff, California, and rounding out the Jumping Seat class are two southern riders, Caroline Mirts from Knoxville, Tennessee, and Alie Hunter out of Wilsonville, Alabama.
