Media Logistics for the 2022 NCAA Cross Country Championships hosted by Oklahoma State

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State hosts the 2022 NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships at the Greiner Family Cross Country Course Saturday morning. Some key information for members of the media to know in advance:
Applying for Media Credentials
If you haven't already applied for credentials, you can do so by visiting ncaa.com/media-credentials.
Media credential pickup
Prior to Friday, November 18, credentials can be picked up in the Oklahoma State Athletics Communications Office in Gallagher-Iba Arena. Arrangements can be made by emailing roxanne.cantrell@okstate.edu or calling 405-744-7714.
On Friday, November 18, credentials can be picked up in the east lobby of Gallagher-Iba Arena from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.
On race day, credentials can be picked up in the clerking tent located in the southwest corner of the Greiner Family Cross Country Course. The tent will be staffed from 7-10:30 a.m.
Friday news conference
A news conference to preview the championships featuring top coaches and student-athletes is set for 2 p.m. Friday in the Gallagher-Iba Arena Theater Room. For the news conference, members of the media should park in the diagonal spots on Mathews Avenue between Duck Street and Knoblock Street. Those spots do not require a permit and are free on a first-come, first-served basis. If those spots are full, the next option is the loading dock area in the southeast corner of Boone Pickens Stadium, which is accessible from Knoblock Street. That area requires a permit to park. A member of the OSU Athletics Communications team will be positioned at the entrance to the loading dock to hand you a permit upon entry. Please display the permit in a visible location on the dash of your vehicle.
Once parked, members of the media should enter Gallagher-Iba Arena from the Southwest Entrance to the building, where they will be welcomed and escorted to the Theater Room for the news conference.

Media parking – credential pickup prior to race day

Media parking – Friday practice day at the course
Members of the media looking to cover Friday's practice day at the Greiner Family Cross Country Course should park in the NCAA official volunteer grass lot located at the southwest corner of the course. The lot is located at the intersection of N McDonald Street and W Tyler Avenue. From McElroy Road, turn north onto N McDonald Street and stay to the right until you see the lot. Please note that this area is not designated for media parking on Saturday's race day – only for Friday.
Media parking and shuttle for the Saturday races
Members of the media covering Saturday's races at the Greiner Family Cross Country Course should park in Lot 120, which is the center field lot of O'Brate Stadium – the baseball home of the Cowboys. Lot 120 is accessible from Washington Street. Another parking option for members of the media is Lot 10 immediately west of Boone Pickens Stadium – the football home of the Cowboys. Lot 10 is accessible from Washington Street, just south of Hall of Fame Avenue.
A free shuttle runs to the Greiner Family Cross Country Course Saturday with stops at Lot 120 and Lot 10 from 8 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. The shuttle runs only on Saturday.
Media work spaces
There are two designated areas for members of the media to work - one is in the O'Brate Stadium press box and the other is a tent located at the northwest corner of the Greiner Family Cross Country Course. The O'Brate Stadium main press box is equipped with tables, power and hard line Ethernet jacks. The tent at the course includes tables and power, but no internet. Both spaces are stocked with snacks and drinks, but full-size meals will not be served, so please plan accordingly.
The O'Brate Stadium press box is located on the club/suite level of the stadium behind home plate. Members of the media can take the large staircase located on the right field side of the press box on the concourse level to access the club/suite level.
Concessions and restrooms
Concessions and restrooms are available to members of the media at the Greiner Family Cross Country Course, including a set of restrooms located just outside of the media tent.

Race day media locations
Credentialed members of the media are free to roam the course on race day, but should not be on the running track itself or inside the finish chute.
There are media boxes outside the finish line fencing. The only media outlets permitted inside the finish line fencing are those designated specifically by the NCAA.

A pool photographer will make a limited number of photos available for free use for media outlets and participating schools at the NCAA Digital media hub upon completion of the races.
Post-race interviews
Upon completion of the race, student-athletes and coaches will pass through the mixed zone located just outside the recovery tent near the finish line. This is where post-race interviews will take place for the general media.
Members of the media should work with the respective school SIDs in order to request and coordinate interviews with student-athletes and coaches after each race.
Archived video from post-race interviews will be made available to media outlets and participating schools at the NCAA Digital media hub upon completion.
