Cowboy Baseball Picked Second In Preseason Poll

IRVING, Texas – Oklahoma State was picked to finish second in the 2022 Big 12 standings in a preseason vote by the conference's head coaches.
Texas is the league favorite, garnering eight of the nine first-place votes. The Cowboys received the other first-place nod and were followed in the top five by Texas Tech, TCU and Baylor.
Led by All-American pitcher Justin Campbell, the Cowboys are ranked as high as No. 7 in the national preseason polls and return four starters from last season's NCAA Regional team that finished 36-19-1.
Three Cowboys – Campbell, Nolan McLean and Jake Thompson – were named to the Preseason All-Big 12 Team, while pitcher Victor Mederos was tabbed the Preseason Newcomer of the Year and infielder Roc Riggio was selected as the Preseason Freshman of the Year.
