Cowgirl Tennis Checks In At No. 24

Oklahoma State's women's tennis team will head to the ITA Kickoff Weekend ranked No. 24 in the 2022 ITA Division I women's rankings released by the ITA on Wednesday.
The Cowgirls have been ranked in the top 25 each season dating back to 2014.
OSU is set to face seven of the teams in the preseason top 25 poll this season in addition to two guaranteed top 25 matchups this weekend.
The Cowgirls will square off with No. 11 Ohio State Saturday morning followed by No. 20 Tennessee or 21st-ranked LSU depending on the outcomes of the first-round matchups.
Head coach Chris Young will look to lead multiple nationally ranked Cowgirls to a successful 2021-22 campaign.
OSU currently has three student-athletes ranked in the individual rankings, with freshman Oona Orpana earning the highest singles ranking of any Cowgirl as she landed at No. 55, while fellow newcomer Mhai Sawangkaew checked in at No. 86. In addition, Ayumi Miyamoto and Mhai Sawangkaew are the 56th-ranked doubles duo in the nation.
The Cowgirls are set to take on the Buckeyes on Jan. 29 at 9 a.m. (CST).
