OSU’s Bedlam Streak Comes To An End In Norman

NORMAN, Okla. — Oklahoma State's women's basketball team saw its four-game winning streak against its in-state rival come to an end on Wednesday evening with a 84-58 loss against No. 18 Oklahoma inside the Lloyd Noble Center.
OSU shot 44 percent in the first, but the Sooners raced out to a 26-15 lead in the first after shooting 57 percent from the floor and connecting on 10 of their 13 free-throw attempts.
The Cowgirls scored 10 of the first 14 in the second quarter to trim the deficit to 30-25 with six minutes to go in the half. However, the Sooners answered with the next 10 to push their advantage back to 10. OSU was held to one field goal over the final six minutes and committed 15 turnovers in the half to trail, 42-28.
OSU opened the third with an 8-0 run while holding the Sooners scoreless for nearly four minutes to get within six. Despite making four of their last five shots from the floor, the Cowgirls were only able to whittle one off the deficit and trailed 59-46 heading into the final frame.
The Sooners used a 17-2 run in the fourth to see their lead swell to 79-52.
Lauren Fields led the way for OSU with 12 points, while Taylen Collins added 11 and nine rebounds.
