Shooting Woes Plague Cowgirls Against Kansas

STILLWATER, Okla. — Oklahoma State's women's basketball team never got on track offensively on Saturday, suffering a 68-54 loss against Kansas in front of 2,040 fans inside Gallagher-Iba Arena.
The Cowgirls hit just 16 of their 80 shots (20 percent) from the floor, including a 6-of-27 effort from the 3-point line, while the Jayhawks hit at a 46 percent clip for the contest.
OSU scored the first four points of the game, but surrendered a 7-0 run and would never lead again. Lexy Keys drilled a 3-pointer as the quarter came to a close to get the Cowgirls within six at 15-9.
In the second, OSU hit just two of its 15 shot attempts and trailed 28-20 at the break.
The Cowgirls got within six early in the third before Kansas used an 8-0 to extend to a 40-24 lead.
Lauren Fields led OSU with 13 points, while Taylen Collins added 12 and nine rebounds.
