Anna Beffer
Beffer Excelling In Professional Career
January 19, 2022 | Cowgirl Soccer
Anna Beffer was a standout player for Oklahoma State from 2014-17, capping her career by leading the Cowgirls to a Big 12 Conference regular season championship in '17 en route to All-Big 12 and All-Region First Team honors.
Â
As a senior, Beffer posted 13 assists, which ranked second in the NCAA that season and is the third most in a single season in program history. She also ranks in the top 10 in career assists at OSU with 22.
Â
After graduating from Oklahoma State in 2018 with degrees in finance and sports management, Beffer joined BOK Financial, taking part in its accelerated career track program. In 2020, she was promoted to Credit Specialist in BOK Financial's Healthcare Lending Department. In that role, she helps manage and monitor the group's portfolio by analyzing financial statements, monitoring borrower performance and preparing customer reports.
Â
Along with working for BOK, Beffer also commentates for Cowgirl Soccer on ESPN+ and FC Tulsa, the professional soccer team in Tulsa, OK.
Â
Not only was Beffer a playmaker, but she was also a decorated student during her time at OSU. She was named to the Academic All-Big 12 First Team three times, and she capped her career by earning NSCAA Scholar All-American First Team honors in 2017.
Â
"Being an athlete helped me in so many ways," Beffer said. "Time management was a big one. Being a student-athlete, you have so much to juggle, and you really have to fine-tune those skills to survive."
Â
Beffer has been the color commentator for Cowgirl FC on ESPN+ since 2019.
Â
"Right now, I'm kind of in a sweet spot," Beffer said. "BOK is definitely my main job, I work there full time. But they give me the flexibility to do (soccer commentary) on the side, which is nice, because I'm still involved with soccer and feel like I haven't completely retired. I can still talk about the games but not have to run the fitness tests anymore, which is nice."
Â
Beffer attributes her post-collegiate success to her time in Stillwater, where she learned many tools to set herself up for success in her life.
Â
"Another big thing was being a team player," Beffer said. "Every day on the field you have to work with different types of personalities to reach a certain goal, and that definitely carries over to the professional world. I use it every single day. There are a ton of skills that I got from being a student-athlete, but those are the main ones."
