OSU To Continue Road Trip At Texas Tech On Thursday

LUBBOCK - Oklahoma State men's basketball is set to continue its three-game road trip when it takes on No. 19 Texas Tech Red on Thursday night in Lubbock, Texas, at the United Supermarkets Arena.Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT on ESPN+ with Ted Emrich and Bryndon Manzer on the call.

The Cowboys (8-6, 1-2 Big 12) dropped the first game of the road trip on Tuesday night with a 70-60 result in Morgantown to West Virginia.

After facing an 11-point deficit at halftime, the Cowboys were able to climb back with a 9-0 run halfway through the second half and eventually cut the deficit to just seven with a little less than 8 minutes left before the Mountaineers closed out the victory.

For OSU, Bryce Williams posted 12 points, marking the second-straight game he reached double-figure scoring and was the fifth time out of the past six games he had done so. Isaac Likekele also provided double-digit points for the second time in his last three games with all 11 of his points coming in the second half.

Oklahoma State comes into the game with a three-game winning streak over Texas Tech after a 74-69 win last year in Stillwater. Overall, the Cowboys boast a winning record against the Red Raiders, going 47-23 in a series that dates back to 1937. The last time OSU traveled to Lubbock, the Cowboys earned a hard-fought overtime victory with a 82-77 victory. Avery Anderson III and Likekele both scored 17 points in the overtime win.

Following the game on Thursday against Texas Tech, the Cowboys will finish their three-game road trip with a visit to Waco to take on No. 1 Baylor on Saturday afternoon. Baylor comes into the game off a loss to Texas Tech on Tuesday night, which ended its 21-game winning streak that followed an 83-74 loss to OSU at the Big 12 Tournament last year.
