Cowgirl Tennis Well Represented In Preseason Rankings

Ahead of the start of the fall tennis season, the ITA Division I Women's Preseason Singles and Doubles Rankings were released, with four Cowgirls making the list.

All-Big 12 performer Alana Wolfberg will begin the campaign as OSU's highest-ranking player coming in at No. 40. Wolfberg finished the season 8-8 in singles play and competed at the NCAA Individual Championships. Wolfberg finished her 20-21 campaign ranked No. 61 in singles.

Joining Wolfberg in the singles rankings was 93rd-ranked Ayumi Miyamoto. Miyamoto logged 11 wins and six losses in singles play last season.

Two Cowgirl duos earned the nod in the doubles rankings. Newcomer Mananchaya Sangwangkaew and Ayumi Miyamoto will enter the season ranked No. 44 and returners Alana Woflberg and Dariya Detkovskaya came in at No. 60.

The fall season for head coach Chris Young's squad will get underway on September 17-19 at the Milwaukee Classic.
