Cowgirl Soccer Caps Week With Another Win

STILLWATER - Oklahoma State notched its third win of the young season with a 1-0 victory over Wright State Sunday night at Neal Patterson Stadium.
With the win, the 24th-ranked Cowgirls improved to 3-1-0 and completed an undefeated week after beating Oklahoma in Norman Thursday night.
Grace Yochum notched the game's only goal for OSU, while Evie Vitali posted her third shutout of the season in the win.
Yochum's score came in the 11th minute off a double assist from Logan Heausler and Megan Haines. After Heausler hit Haines just outside the right side of the box, Haines delivered a perfect cross that Yochum headed to the near post for her team-leading third goal of the season. Heausler tallied her first-career assist on the play, while Haines notched her first of the season.
The goal continued Yochum's climb up the OSU career chart as it marked the 30th of her career and moved her into a tie for fifth on the Cowgirls' all-time list. She is five shy of the record of 35 held by Yolanda Odenyo and Jolene Schweitzer.
OSU finished with 10 shots in the match and nearly added to its goal total as both Hannah Webb and Heausler had shots carom off the crossbar.
Vitali finished with four saves, marking the third game this season she has finished with that mark.
The Cowgirls' next matchup comes Thursday when they host Stephen F. Austin at Neal Patterson Stadium at 7 p.m.
