Cowgirl Soccer Signs Six

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State signed six student-athletes to its incoming class for the 2026 season.

The class includes prep standouts from Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas and Michigan, as well as a junior college star who hails from Panama.

Each of the six signees will join the program in January and be eligible to participate in the Cowgirls' spring exhibition season.

"We obviously try to fill whatever needs we have, and we feel like we've accomplished that with this group," said OSU head coach Colin Carmichael. "We got some help in the defensive area, some help out wide and definitely some help in the attack so we're excited about this class as a whole."

Sophia Baker, F – Wichita, Kan. (Sporting Blue Valley ECNL/Trinity Academy)

Carmichael on Baker: "Sophia is an aggressive, attacking forward who has the ability to score goals, likes to press and works hard as a forward defending, which is important. She has played on some very successful club teams, and she's a very hard-working, hard-nosed player that is definitely going to compete hard and fit in well in the Big 12."

She does well when she gets into the attacking third, can serve a good ball into the box, and she certainly fits the mold of what we look for in those wide areas."

Tyller Grimes, D – Fort Worth, Texas (Sting Royal ECNL/Timber Creek HS)

Carmichael on Grimes: "Tyller has a physical presence in the backline, plays center back. She's dominant in the air, wins tackles, is good on the ball and is comfortable with her distribution. She's also a threat on set plays; we know how important that can be at this level so certainly on free kicks and corners she'll be a threat in the other team's 18 (yard box) to give us more chances to score."

Sherline King, F – Panama City, Panama (Jones JC/Instituto Nacional de Panama)

Member of the Panamanian Women's National Team
Starred last two seasons at Jones College and led the Bobcats to this year's upcoming NJCAA DII National Tournament
Has played in 35 career games and tallied 48 goals and 18 assists
Recorded 193 shots, 127 of those on goal, and had 12 game-winning goals
Was a NJCAA Division II First-Team All-American as a freshman, scoring 25 goals and notching 10 assists

Carmichael on King: "Sherline is a very smart player who has played for Panama's full national team so she has played at a very high level of competition. She scores goals, creates goals, is a very technical player, and she'll definitely give us a bigger goal threat, something that we've needed. We expect her to come in, contribute at a high level immediately and score some goals for us."

Carmichael on Nichols: "Clare is a local player, and we're always looking to add top Oklahoma talent to the roster. She's a very good goalkeeper, with great size and good presence who is a really good shot stopper and can pull off the spectacular save when needed. She is good with her feet; she can distribute the ball off the ground, so goal kicks and free kicks from our end, she's able to drive it good distances and get us up the field. She'll come in and fit right in with this goalkeeping group that we have now."

Lily Weiss, WB – Carrollton, Texas (Sting Dallas Black ECNL/Hebron HS)

Carmichael on Weiss: "Lily is another one who plays out wide – she's quick, aggressive, loves to get forward and join the attack, can create chances. She scores a few goals as well from the wide area, which is important to us, but definitely is able to link play from middle to front and is aggressive defensively. She'll press hard and work hard for the team."
