Cowboys To Play In Inaugural Basketball Hall of Fame Showcase

STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State men's basketball team will take on UMass Lowell and N.C. State as a part of the inaugural Basketball Hall of Fame Showcase on November 16-17 at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.
The two-day doubleheader is hosted by the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame, and will feature the first meeting between OSU and N.C. State since the Cowboys took down the Wolfpack, 76-56, in the 2012 Puerto Rico Tip-Off finals. Ticket information, game times and television broadcast details and will be released when they become available.
The Mohegan Sun Arena recently hosted the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame induction ceremony for legendary Cowboy head coach Eddie Sutton, and is consistently rated among the top venues in the world according to Billboard Magazine, Pollstar and Venues Now.
"We're very excited to be a part of the Basketball Hall of Fame Showcase," said OSU head coach Mike Boynton. "This will be an opportunity to showcase the growth of our squad against some of the best teams in the nation while also paying tribute to the history of greats that have played this game. Oklahoma State now has five members of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, and it's fitting that the Cowboys participate in this event just months after the legendary Eddie Sutton was inducted."
This will be the first hardwood meeting between OSU and UMass Lowell, which plays in the America East Conference. The Cowboys are 2-0 all-time against N.C. State.
The Cowboys are coming off a 2021 campaign that included a 21-9 record, a trip to the Big 12 Championship title game and the program's first NCAA Tournament win since 2009. Head coach Mike Boynton has replaced All-American Cade Cunningham with a trio of talented transfers that has brought OSU's total to two five-star recruits and eight four-star recruits signed since November of 2018.
