Cowgirl Tennis Continues Academic Excellence

STILLWATER, Okla.– Oklahoma State's women's tennis team was honored this week for its work in the classroom with the announcement of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Scholar-Athletes and All-Academic Teams.
Head coach Chris Young's squad was also named as an ITA All-Academic Team. To receive the distinction, a squad must carry a grade point average of 3.2 or above on a 4.0 scale and all student-athletes included should be listed on the institutional eligibility form. Additionally, all varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year.
Six Cowgirls were named ITA Scholar-Athletes with Lora Boggs, Dariya Detkovskaya, Bunyawi Thamchaiwat, Alana Wolfberg, Lenka Stara and Martina Zerulo all receiving the honor.
To be named a Scholar-Athlete, one must have a grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale for the current academic year and must be listed on the institutional eligibility form.
