Oklahoma City, Okla. — The Oklahoma State softball team improved to 42-8 on the season with 4-3 and 6-5 victories against Texas and Iowa State. With the two wins, the Cowgirls advance to the Big 12 Softball Championship game.

Texas jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first three innings, before Kiley Naomi (1-for-3, 2 RBI, run scored) launched a two-run homer over the left field wall to tie the game.
The game remained knotted at two until the bottom of the ninth inning when Petty scored the winning run after a dropped third strike on Chelsea Alexander and an error on the Texas throw to first base.
In game two, Carrie Eberle got the start in the circle against the Iowa State Cyclones. Eberle pitched six innings and struck out eight in route to her 21st win of the season.
