Cowgirl Soccer Places Four On All-Region Teams

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the second-straight year, Oklahoma State has four players on the United Soccer Coaches All-Midwest Region Team.
Highlighting the list of all-region Cowgirls for 2020-21 is senior defender Kim Rodriguez, who was named to the All-Midwest Region First Team for the second consecutive year. It was Rodriguez' third all-region selection, making her the eighth player in program history to achieve the honor three times in a career.
Earning a spot on the All-Midwest Region Second Team was sophomore forward Olyvia Dowell, while senior defender Charmé Morgan and junior midfielder Grace Yochum collected All-Midwest Region Third Team honors. It marks the first all-region honor for Dowell, and the second for both Morgan and Yochum, who were second-team performers in 2019.
OSU's all-region standouts helped the Cowgirls to a successful 2020-21 season that saw them advance to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Women's Soccer Championship for the third time in program history and finish with a 13-3-2 record.
Rodriguez played in 16 games for the Cowgirls and anchored a defense that posted nine shutouts and allowed just 17 goals. An All-Big 12 First Team selection, Rodriguez tallied a goal and five assists on the season and moved into seventh on OSU's all-time list with 21 career assists.
Dowell was one of the nation's top scorers this season as she started all 18 games for the Cowgirls and recorded 12 goals and seven assists. The All-Big 12 First Team performer ranks among the NCAA leaders in goals and points with 31.
Morgan was another key part of the OSU defense and also earned All-Big 12 Second Team honors for the second-straight season while finishing with a goal and three assists in 17 games.
Yochum tied for the team lead in goals with 12, a total that ranks in the top 10 nationally, and she leads the NCAA this season with eight game-winning goals. Named to the All-Big 12 Second Team, Yochum added three assists, and she moved into seventh on OSU's career goals scored list with 27.
