THE BASICS
In the latter half of a busy weekend for Oklahoma State track and field, a number of Pokes will represent America's Brightest Orange at the North Texas Classic from the University of North Texas' Soccer and Track and Field Stadium in Denton, Texas.
IN THE POLLS
In its week two installment of the National Track & Field Rating Index, the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) ranked the Cowgirls No. 2 in the Midwest Region, up one spot from their week one ranking and second only to Iowa in the region. The Cowboys slipped two spots, down to No. 15 in the Midwest Region.
LAST TIME OUT
In Oklahoma State's last outdoor track and field competition, the Baylor Invitational:
- Oklahoma State athletes combined for 31 top-ten finishes on the day with 13 of those being within the top five.
- Washington-State transfer Kelsey Kehl earned the first event win of her Oklahoma State career, taking the women's javelin title with a 45.14m throw
- Saara Hakanen, Finnish jumps specialist, claimed the first event win of her sophomore outdoor season with a 13.00m mark in the triple jump, a distance that ranks third all-time in Cowgirl history.

MEET SCHEDULE (ALL TIMES CT)
The North Texas Classic will begin at 9:30 a.m. with the women's javelin throw. Competition will continue throughout the day and wrap up with the men's 4x400 meter relay at 6:30 p.m.
