Cowgirls Win Pitcher’s Duel in Lubbock

Lubbock, Texas — The Oklahoma State softball team improved its record to 30-5 (6-1 Big 12) on the season with a 1-0 victory against Texas Tech (16-17, 0-7 Big 12) Friday night.
Carrie Eberle (13-1, 0.61 ERA) won her fourth straight start as she pitched a complete-game shutout, her fifth such game this season.
Eberle allowed just one hit on the night while tying her career high with 11 strikeouts, which she last accomplished vs. Oregon in a 9-inning outing in 2020.
The Cowgirls had their chances throughout the game, but didn't put a run across until the seventh inning.
In the seventh, Chyenne Factor (1-3, RBI) took the first pitch of the inning over the center field wall to give the Cowgirls the only run of the game and secured the victory.
The Cowgirls return to action tomorrow in Lubbock for game two of their series with Texas Tech. The game is scheduled for 4 p.m. CT and will be streamed live on ESPN+.
