Cowgirl Soccer Duo Tabbed Big 12’s Best

IRVING, Texas – Oklahoma State concluded its regular season by adding two more players to its list of conference weekly award winners as Gabriella Coleman was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week and Mollie Breiner was selected as the Big 12 Freshman of the Week for Week 16.
Coleman and Breiner helped lead OSU to a 2-1 overtime win against Notre Dame as the Cowgirls completed the regular season with a 12-3-1 record.
Coleman played a role in both OSU goals as she collected an assist on Olyvia Dowell's score in the first half before recording the golden goal in the 98th minute. The goal was Coleman's fifth of the season.
Breiner made just the second start of her career as she replaced OSU All-American Kim Rodriguez, who was on duty with the Mexican National Team, on the Cowgirls' back line.
A native of Broken Arrow, Okla., Breiner was up to the challenge as she played 81 minutes and helped anchor an OSU defense that held the Irish to one goal and 10 shots.
OSU has now collected 17 weekly awards from the conference this season, including 12 over the last seven weeks.
