STILLWATER – After a uniquely challenging year for collegiate cross country, both Oklahoma State's men's and women's teams, as well as 11 individual OSU athletes, have earned All-Academic honors for their resilience on the course and in the classroom.
For the 19th consecutive year, dating back to 2002, Oklahoma State women's team earned All-Academic team honors on account of their 3.5381 team GPA. The Cowgirls were one of 233 NCAA DI women's team to garner the academic award.
The Cowboys' earned the All-Academic team honor, along with 198 other NCAA Divison I men's teams, thanks to their 3.271 cumulative combined GPA. OSU's men have been named to the All-Academic team list every year since 1998, excluding 2010; a total of 22 times in the last 23 years.
As for its individual honorees, Oklahoma State totaled six female award winners, the most in a single season in program history, and five male academic award winners. Including this year, the Cowboys have had 41 individual members named to the academic squad; the Cowgirls now total 32 honorees.
The Cowgirl award recipients include five first-time winners: freshmen Sivan Auerbach, Heidi Demeo, Lilly Lavier, and sophomores Gabby Hentemann and Taylor Roe. Molly Born now adds a second All-Academic title to her resume after earning her first in 2019. Born is the fifth Cowgirl to be a multiple-time award winner.
