Cowgirl Soccer Continues To Haul In Big 12 Honors

IRVING, Texas — For the third consecutive week, Oklahoma State collected multiple weekly awards from the Big 12 Conference as Grace Yochum was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week and Charmé Morgan the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week for Week 12.
This marks the second consecutive week that Yochum has been named the league's top offensive player, and she was also named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com Women's Team of the Week for a second-straight week.
The Cowgirl duo helped OSU extend its winning streak to six games with a 4-3 double overtime win at North Texas as OSU snapped the Mean Green's 54-game unbeaten streak at home, which also included 18-straight wins on their home field.
Yochum continued her torrid scoring pace as she found the back of the net twice, including recording the golden goal in the 103rd minute, to extend her streak of scoring a goal to four games.
With eight goals on the season, Yochum leads the Big 12 and ranks seventh nationally, and her game-winning goal was her NCAA-best sixth of the year.
Morgan scored her first goal of the season in the win as she converted a penalty kick in the 78th minute to tie the score at 3-3.
The senior also helped lead an OSU team playing a player down for the final 90 minutes after a red card in the 13th minute of the match. The card was on the Cowgirls' starting goalkeeper, forcing OSU to play a freshman backup who had played just 25 minutes in the only previous game action of her career.
OSU has collected 14 weekly awards from the conference this season, including nine over the last three weeks.
