Cowgirls Get Back In The Win Column Against Tulsa

Tulsa, Okla. — Oklahoma State's 22nd-ranked women's tennis team earned its first road victory on Saturday, defeating Tulsa, 6-1, at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
With the win, OSU improved to 6-5 on the year.
Tulsa struck first when Bunyawi Thamchaiwat and Ayumi Miyamoto were defeated by Okalova and Poner, 6-1. However, Alana Wolfberg and Lenka Stara countered on court two, defeating Tulsa's Poppe and Rozenkova, 6-4. On court three, Dariya Detkovskaya and Daniella Medvedeva finished off the Golden Hurricane duo of Laia Conde Monfort and Gabriella Charalampidi, 7-5, to swing the doubles point in favor of the Cowgirls.
Dariya Detkovskaya was the first Cowgirl to claim victory in singles action, defeating Tulsa's Vera Ploner, 6-3, 6-2, to extend the OSU lead. Bunyawi Thamchaiwat followed with a 6-4, 6-2 victory against Martina Okalova of Tulsa on court one. On court five, Cowgirl Lenka Stara defeated Rozenkova in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4, to close out the victory.
With the match decided, both teams played out on the remaining courts. Court six was the next to finish with Daniella Medvedeva falling to Tulsa's Lian Benedejcic, 7-5, 6-3. Ayumi Miyamoto battled back on court two to beat Tulsa's Shura Poppe, 3-6, 6-4, 6-3.
