Cowgirl Equestrian Duo Earns Big 12 Rider Of The Month Honors

STILLWATER - Oklahoma State's Hope King and Molly Mitchell have been named Big 12 Conference October Riders of the Month, with King claiming co-rider honors in Flat and Mitchell picking up co-rider accolades in Reining.
King received her first-career MOP honor against top-ranked Auburn when she earned the tie-breaking point to secure the win for OSU. The next weekend, she rode for a career-high score of 87 in Flat to lock down a Cowgirl win over TCU and collect her second consecutive MOP honor.
Mitchell began her junior campaign undefeated with high point spreads between each Reining opponent. Her MOP-worthy score of 73.5 against TCU was her personal best score on her home turf as she picked up a point for OSU.
Winners are selected by the conference's coaches. Both King and Mitchell are first-time honorees.
