Cowgirl Equestrian Signs 2021 Recruiting Class

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State's equestrian team add 10 members to the program in its latest recruiting class, which includes six Western and four Jumping Seat riders.
OSU head coach Larry Sanchez was ecstatic about what the newest group of Cowgirls will bring to the program.
"We are very excited about these young ladies that will be joining our Cowgirl family next fall," Sanchez said. "They bring talent and a great work ethic, which is the foundation that we have built this program on through the years."
The Cowgirls' class included four Horsemanship riders. Lily Corbin, from Jones, Okla., was the 2021 IEA Varsity Open Regional Champion, while Avery Langley out of Oxford, Miss., was an L1 Hunter Under Saddle Champion. Kelly Coonce from Lone Jack, Missouri, was a finalist in the 2021 NYATT Horsemanship at Congress and the 2019 Justin Boots Intermediate Rider of the Year. Rounding out the list is June Roberson from Stratford, Okla., who is the younger sister of current Cowgirl rider, Jojo. In 2021, June was both the Reserve World Champion in L3 Showmanship and the Bronze Champion in L3 Equitation.
The Pokes also signed a strong duo of Reiners in Tristan Bagby and Abby Budd. Bagby, from Benton, Kentucky, was the 2021 Buckeye Reining Series L3 and Novice Horse Derby Champion. Coming out of Pueblo, Colo., Budd was a two-time Colorado Youth Freestyle Champion and finished top five in the 14-18 NRHA Northern American Affiliate Championships.
In Jumping Seat, the Cowgirls signed Emma Quigley from Glassboro, NJ. Throughout 2021, Quigley qualified and competed in the ASPCA Maclay Finals, USEF/Platinum Performance Talent Search Finals, Dover Saddlery/USEF Hunter Seat Medal Finals and the Gladstone Cup Equitation Classic. Cadence Kueker, out of Wamego, Kansas, recorded top placings in the Big Eq throughout the Midwest at shows such as the Lamplight, National Equestrian Center and Maffitt Lake. She also won first place in the Zone 6 Handy Hunter Challenge. Signing with OSU out of Flower Mound, Texas, Zoe Williams earned first place in both the NHS Medal at the Pin Oak Charity Horse Show and the 3'3 Junior Hunter Classic at WEC Ocala Week V. Rounding out the class is Ellie DuPuis from Charlottesville, Virginia. Throughout 2020 and 2021, DuPuis qualified and competed in the ASPCA Maclay Finals, Dover Saddlery/USEF Medal Finals and the Gladstone Cup Equitation Classic.
