Brown Named Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State kicker Tanner Brown earned OSU's 10th weekly conference honor of the 2021 season Monday as he was named the Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in the Cowboys' 55-3 win over Kansas.
A senior transfer in his first year in Stillwater, Brown kicked a career-long 49-yard field goal to put OSU up 10-0 early in the game. He scored 10 total points and was perfect on his eight place kicks.
Brown also kicked off seven times with four touchbacks, and KU's starting field position following his kickoffs averaged inside its own 25-yard line.
Since taking over as OSU's place kicker to start the month of October, Brown is now 6-for-8 on the season on field goal attempts and 15-for-15 on PAT attempts. He has also kicked off 41 times this year with 19 touchbacks.
The recognition marks the first career Big 12 weekly honor for Brown, and Oklahoma State's 10 Big 12 weekly honors this season are the most in the conference.
