Cowboys Finish Eighth At Colonial

FORT WORTH, Texas – Oklahoma State's men's golf team opened its season at the Colonial Collegiate Invitational this week with an eighth place showing at Colonial Country Club.
On Tuesday, the Cowboys posted a 5-over tally of 285 to finish at 31-over 871. Oklahoma finished six shots clear of the field at the par-70, 7,204-yard layout with its 5-under score of 835.
OU's Logan McAllister finished at 3-under 207 on his way two medalist honors.
A pair of Cowboys placed in the top 15 with newcomer Eugenio Chacarra and freshman Brian Stark tying for 15th place.
Chacarra, a transfer from Wake Forest, closed with an even-par 70, which included five birdies, while Stark turned in 2-under 33 on his way to a 70 of his own.
Junior Austin Eckroat carded his low round of the event, posting a 71 during his third round to tie for 31st place at 222.
Sophomore Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen carded a closing 74 and tied for 39th place at 224.
Freshman Bo Jin also posted a 74 to finish alone in 45th place at 228.
Sophomore Aman Gupta signed for a 78 to finish at 232 and in 53rd place.
The Cowboys will continue the Big 12 Fall Series this weekend when they begin play at the Big 12 Match Play Tournament at Houston Oaks on Friday.
