FORT WORTH, Texas – Oklahoma State's men's golf team opened its season at the Colonial Collegiate Invitational this week with an eighth place showing at Colonial Country Club.

On Tuesday, the Cowboys posted a 5-over tally of 285 to finish at 31-over 871. Oklahoma finished six shots clear of the field at the par-70, 7,204-yard layout with its 5-under score of 835.

OU's Logan McAllister finished at 3-under 207 on his way two medalist honors.

A pair of Cowboys placed in the top 15 with newcomer Eugenio Chacarra and freshman Brian Stark tying for 15^th place.

Chacarra, a transfer from Wake Forest, closed with an even-par 70, which included five birdies, while Stark turned in 2-under 33 on his way to a 70 of his own.

Junior Austin Eckroat carded his low round of the event, posting a 71 during his third round to tie for 31^st place at 222.

Sophomore Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen carded a closing 74 and tied for 39^th place at 224.

Freshman Bo Jin also posted a 74 to finish alone in 45^th place at 228.

Sophomore Aman Gupta signed for a 78 to finish at 232 and in 53^rd place.

The Cowboys will continue the Big 12 Fall Series this weekend when they begin play at the Big 12 Match Play Tournament at Houston Oaks on Friday.
