Play Suspended At Schooner Golf Classic After 30 Holes

NORMAN, Okla. – The Oklahoma State women's golf team started their fall season at the at the Schooner Fall Classic, where play was suspended due to high winds after 30 holes and the Cowgirls in a tie for sixth place.
The Cowgirls surged in the second round thanks to strong performances from Rina Tatematsu, Isabella Fierro and Lianna Bailey. When play was suspended, Tatematsu was 3-under par on the strength of five birdies, while Fierro and Bailey both had a trio of birdies and were 2-under.
Fierro will enter the final day at Belmar Golf Club just three strokes off the lead and in a tie for seventh. Tatematsu, Bailey and Hailey Jones entered the clubhouse on Sunday at 3-over, 4-over and 5-over, respectively.
Freshman walk-on Angelica Pfefferkorn had a strong first round as a Cowgirl, finishing the morning session with three birdies. The Carmel, Indiana native sits in a tie for 46th with 24 holes to play.
Teams will complete the second round of the Schooner Fall Classic starting at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, followed by the last 18 holes.
