OSU Student-Athletes Earn Conference Academic Recognition

STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma State had 410 student-athletes across all sports honored with the announcement of the Big 12's 2020 Spring Commissioner's Honor Roll. The league recognizes all student-athletes with a 3.0 grade-point average or higher from its member institutions during each semester.
Football led the way with 98 selections and was followed by the Cowgirl track and field squad's 59 honorees. The Cowgirl equestrian team had 41 selections, while the men's track and field squad had 37 student-athletes honored. Baseball produced 35 honorees, while wrestling had 28 and was followed by Cowgirl soccer with 24 and softball at 23.
Both basketball programs had 14 honorees, while the Cowgirl golf program had 11 honorees and the women's tennis program had 10 selections. Men's golf and men's tennis each had eight honorees.
The honor adds to a banner semester for the department, which saw its student-athletes achieve the highest single-semester GPA in school history. Additionally, six programs (baseball, women's basketball, football, softball, soccer, women's track and field) achieved the highest GPA for their respective sport in program history.
Six programs (equestrian, men's and women's golf, soccer, women's tennis and women's track and field) carried a 3.5 or better cumulative GPA, while baseball, women's basketball, softball and men's track and field all had a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or better.
