OSU Places 107 On Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team

• 2020 Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team selections
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State led the conference with a record 107 student-athletes on the 2020 Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team, including a conference-best 17 selections with a perfect 4.0 GPA.
OSU's 107 selections marked an increase of 66 over last year's total, and are the most by any school since the Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team began in 2013. In all, 856 Big 12 student-athletes earned a spot on the 2020 Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team.
The Cowboy football team led the way with 28 selections to the Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team, followed by 21 in cross country/track & field.
Oklahoma State's league-best 17 4.0 GPA selections include; Caeden Trenkle (baseball), Lauren Jost (equestrian), Hope King (equestrian), Caroline Nielson (equestrian), Sydney North (equestrian), JoJo Roberson (equestrian), Brady Pohl (football), Jake Schultz (football), Brian Stark (golf), Summer Chaffin (soccer), Rebekah George (soccer), Hayley Ledford (soccer), Jules Callaham (softball), Madison Neighbors (softball), Gael De Coninck (track & field), Emily Forster (track & field), and Saara Hakanen (track & field).
The Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team honors first-time/incoming freshmen that have completed 24 semester hours of non-remedial coursework and achieved a cumulative GPA of at least 3.00.
Additionally, the student-athlete must have participated in at least one of their team's scheduled contests and must have been a member of their respective team for their sport's entire NCAA Championship segment.
