March 26, 2020 | Cowgirl Equestrian
The Big 12 Conference announced four Oklahoma State Cowgirl Equestrian riders as recipients of 2020 postseason honors, including Harley Huff, who was named the Big 12 Horsemanship Rider of the Year.
Huff collected Big 12 Horsemanship Rider of the Year honors for the third-straight season. The junior tallied a 9-2-1 record with four MOP's as one of OSU's most consistent riders all season long. She becomes just the third rider in Big 12 history to record three individual yearly awards in the same event and only the second to do so in consecutive years.
Cowgirl senior team captain Emma Verplank claimed a spot on the All-Big 12 Horsemanship team. Verplank finished her final season 9-1-2, with her lone loss being by half a point.
Fellow team captain Hannah Mitchell earned a spot on the All-Big 12 team in Reining. Mitchell was 7-4-1 on the year and earned MOP honors in five meets. She capped her career as a four-time All-Big 12 rider in Reining.
Abigail Brayman earned a spot on the All-Big 12 Flat team. A junior, Brayman was 8-3-1 on the year and ended the season with three-straight victories.
