• The Basics
Oklahoma State shrugged aside the 3-point barrage of Oakland to win its eighth straight game and set up a Tuesday showdown against in-state foe Oral Roberts in Gallagher-Iba Arena. AP Preseason All-American Cade Cunningham has dazzled in his opening two weeks of college basketball, and is among the Big 12's top-10 in scoring, assists, blocks, steals, field goal percentage and free throws (makes, attempts and percentage). But Cunningham is hardly alone. Captain Isaac Likekele heads the defensive efforts and is still 8th in assists and 7th in rebounding in the Big 12, and the Cowboys lead the league in blocked shots and defensive rebounding. OSU will face another 3-point threat when the Golden Eagles arrive on Tuesday. Led by Max Abmas and Kevin Obanor, ORU averages 11 makes per game, which ranks 18th nationally.

• Winning Ways
Dating back to last season, Oklahoma State has won 12 of its last 15 games and eight straight overall. The last time OSU won eight consecutive games was during an 11-game win streak to open the 2006-07 season. The Cowboys have also won seven straight at home and four straight away from Stillwater. OSU last won seven straight games in GIA during a nine-game streak that overlapped the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons.

Star freshman Cade Cunningham, the current Big 12 Newcomer of the Week, is one of just seven players nationally - and the country's only freshman - averaging at least 18.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game. Cunningham leads the Cowboys in scoring (18.0), assists (4.5), steals (1.8) and 3-point percentage (.462), and is second on the squad in rebounding (6.0) blocks (1.0) and field goal percentage (.490), and is the Big 12's only player with those all-around numbers.
