STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's women's basketball team won its 15th consecutive home opener on Sunday afternoon inside Gallagher-Iba Arena, scoring a 54-73 win over Oral Roberts.
Lauren Fields ignited the Cowgirl offense with consecutive 3-pointers in the first seven minutes of the first quarter. OSU held a 19-13 lead over the Golden Eagles after the first 10 minutes of action.
At the break, the Cowgirls led by a 37-27 count behind a 14-point showing from junior Ja'Mee Asberry through the first 20 minutes. She would go on to finish with a game-high 19 points.
OSU poured in 22 points in the third quarter to extend its margin to 21 behind an eight-point quarter from Fields. The sophomore finished with 14 points behind a 4-of-7 showing from beyond the 3-point arc.
In her OSU debut, junior Brittany Reeves collected her first double-double of the season, finishing with 11 points and a game-high 14 rebounds.
OSU held the Golden Eagles a 24.7 percent shooting performance from the field.
The Cowgirls will be back in Gallagher-Iba Arena on Wednesday to host Southern.
