STILLWATER, Okla. — Behind monster performances from juniors Vivian Gray and Natasha Mack, Oklahoma State opened Big 12 play with a 67-49 win over Kansas in front of 2,226 fans inside Gallagher-Iba Arena.

With the win, OSU improved to 10-3 and handed the Jayhawks their first loss (11-1) to leave five remaining unbeatens in the nation.

For the second consecutive game, OSU got out of the gate slowly at the offensive end, trailing 17-11 after the first. However, the Cowgirls put up a 20-point quarter in the second and got 12 points in the half from Gray to lead 31-29.

Mack was on triple-double watch early for OSU with eight points, eight rebounds and six blocks in the first 20 minutes. Mack would finish with 25 points, 20 rebounds and nine blocks, becoming just the second player in the country since 1999-00 with at least 25 points, 20 rebounds and nine blocks in a game. She joined New Mexico State's Brooke Salas, who did so on Dec. 21, 2018.

Gray finished with a game-high 27 points, seven assists and seven rebounds as well as three blocked shots.

For the game, OSU blocked 14 shots and held KU to a 29 percent shooting effort.

The Cowgirl defense logged its 13th single-digit quarter in the third, holding KU to seven points to expand the lead to double figures for the first time in the game.

OSU will close out a five-game homestand on Jan. 8 when they host Oklahoma at 7 p.m.
