Five Cowgirls Appear In ITA Preseason Rankings

STILLWATER – Five members of the Oklahoma State women's tennis team appear in the 2019 individual preseason rankings, released by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association on Tuesday.
Senior Lisa-Marie Rioux received the highest ranking among the Cowgirls, coming in at No. 43 in the ITA singles rankings. Along with her ITA ranking, Rioux was selected for the main draw of the 2019 Women's All-American Championships.
Following Rioux, junior Bunyawi Thamchaiwat appears in the rankings and is currently No. 67. Thamchaiwat has also been selected to compete in the qualifying draw of the All-American Championships in singles play.
Representing Oklahoma State in the women's doubles rankings are two underclassmen. Sophomore Catherine Gulihur and freshman Alana Wolfberg come in tied for the No. 27 ranking in this category. The duo has also been selected to compete in the qualifying round of doubles in the All-American Championships, while Wolfberg has been selected to compete in the pre-qualifying singles round.
Finally, the ITA selected freshman Ayumi Miyamoto to the Top Freshmen/Newcomer's list. Miyamoto comes in at No. 7 and has also been chosen to compete in the All-American Championships qualifying singles draw. She, along with Thamchaiwat, made the qualifying doubles alternate list for the All-American Championships.
