Cowgirl Equestrian Ranked No. 4 In Preseason Poll

STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State equestrian team earned a No. 4 ranking in the National Collegiate Equestrian Association poll, which marked three-straight years of preseason top-five rankings for the Cowgirls.
This marks the program's seventh consecutive year in the preseason top 10. The Cowgirls were ranked No. 4 heading into last season.
Head coach Larry Sanchez and the Cowgirls are coming off an 8-7 record in 2018-19, and OSU returns second-team All-Americans Harley Huff and Hannah Mitchell, as well as honorable mentions Emma Verplank and Stephanie Helsen.
Along with OSU, Big 12 teams Baylor, TCU and Fresno State are ranked sixth, seventh and ninth respectively.
OSU opens its season September 19 in Martin, Tenn. against No. 10 UT Martin. The Cowgirls were victorious in their last match up against the Skyhawks in 2014, winning 15-5.
