Cowgirl Soccer Adds Four

STILLWATER — Oklahoma State head soccer coach Colin Carmichael has added four student-athletes to the Cowgirls' 2019 roster.
The newest Cowgirls join the OSU program from the high school ranks, with Summer Chaffin and Sophie Green hailing from Texas and Megan Haines and Hayley Ledford coming off prep careers in Oklahoma.
"We're excited to add Summer, Sophie, Megan and Hayley to the Cowgirl Soccer Family and look forward to working with them this fall," Carmichael said. "They bring some talented depth to our roster and have all contributed on some very successful club teams. Adding them to the mix will strengthen our team for the upcoming season."
Summer Chaffin, D/MF, Dallas, Texas (Trinity Christian Academy/Dallas Texas ECNL) — Chaffin recorded 31 goals and 23 assists during her career at Trinity Christian Academy in Addison, Texas, and also starred for Dallas Texans ECNL at the club level.
A two-time all-district selection, Chaffin enjoyed her most productive offensive season as a junior when she tallied 16 goals and 10 assists. As a senior playing at center back, she helped her squad post seven shutouts while also recording seven goals and three assists.
Chaffin, who started 20 games for the Texans during the 2018-19 season, is rated as a two-star recruit by TopDrawerSoccer.com.
Sophie Green, MF/D, Houston, Texas (Cinco Ranch HS/Albion Hurricanes ECNL) — A three-time all-district performer at Cinco Ranch High School, Green capped her career by posting 10 goals and 15 assists as a senior.
A standout for Albion Hurricanes ECNL, where she played for former OSU assistant Ben Williams, Green collected 12 goals and 17 assists during her three-year career with the club.
Green was also recruited by Alabama, Louisville, Oral Roberts and Florida.
Megan Haines, F/MF, Tulsa, Okla. (Jenks HS/TSC Hurricane ECNL) — A three-year letterwinner at Jenks High School, Haines turned in an impressive senior season as she tallied 19 goals and 13 assists to earn all-state accolades. A two-time all-district performer, she finished her prep career with 25 goals and 24 assists.
Also a star for TSC Hurricane ECNL, Haines posted four goals and a pair of assists during the 2018-19 season.
Hayley Ledford, F/MF, Tulsa, Okla. (Jenks HS/TSC Hurricane ECNL) — Ledford recorded 17 goals and nine assists during her three seasons at Jenks High School, where she was an all-district performer. As a senior, she recorded nine goals and seven assists to help lead JHS to a district championship.
Ledford spent 11 years playing for TSC Hurricane ECNL, helping lead the club to a U-17 state championship in 2017 and racking up 12 goals last season.
