OMAHA, Neb. — Former Oklahoma State All-American Kristoffer Ventura became the second member of OSU's 2018 NCAA title-winning squad to secure a PGA Tour card this summer. Ventura posted a two-shot victory on Sunday at the Pinnacle Bank Championship to secure a spot inside the Tour's Top 25.
Two weeks after Matthew Wolff earned his status with a victory at the PGA Tour's 3M Open, Ventura locked up his card with his second victory on the Korn Ferry Tour this summer. Last month, Ventura captured the Utah Championship in a playoff.
Competing at The Club at Indian Creek this week, Ventura opened with a 67 and followed with rounds of 64 and 67 before closing with a 1-under 70. He finished at 16-under 268 and two strokes clear of Andres Gonzales and Chad Ramey.
Former Cowboy Edward Loar joined Ventura inside the top 10, tying for 10th place at 9-under 275.
