Cowboys Finish Second At Southern Hills

Final Results
TULSA, Okla. – Oklahoma State's men's golf team posted a closing 296 on Tuesday during the final round of action at The Clerico to finish in second place at Southern Hills Country Club.
The Cowboys wrapped up their final event of the fall with a 14-over-par total of 854 to finish six shots behind Auburn at the par-70, 7,172-yard layout. Texas Tech was third at 862.
Individually, Auburn's Josiah Gilbert was one of just two players in the field to finish under par, turning in a 3-under total of 207 to finish a shot clear of the field.
OSU junior Gaven Lane carded a closing 76 to finish alone in fourth place at 212. The finish was his second top five of the fall after finishing as the runner-up at the Fighting Illini Invitational.
Lane was joined in the top 10 by classmates Ethan Fang and Preston Stout. Fang rose 10 spots with his second consecutive 71 to finish at 214 and tied for seventh place, giving the All-American his third top-10 showing in three starts this fall.Â
Stout signed for a 74 to grab sole possession of 10th place. The finish marked the best showing in three starts this fall for the All-American.
Junior Eric Lee carded a 75 during his third round to finish at 218 and tied for 16th place, while Filip Fahlberg-Johnsson also finished in the top 20, tying for 19th place. The sophomore posted a 77 to close play and finished at 219.
The Cowboys will be back in action in February when they compete at the Amer Ari Invitational.
